ProMat DX is officially behind us and despite the show being completely virtual this year due to COVID-19, we still made a lot of great connections and had a blast educating people on the benefits of warehouse automation. We wanted to thank the hundreds of wonderful people who tuned in to our product demo sessions and education seminar.

In case you missed us at ProMat DX 2021, we helped people put their warehouse worries to rest by showcasing various product demos that illustrated the potential of FireFly, a look into how we helped optimize Heaven Hill Distillery, and tackled some common challenges new customers face when preparing for automation; we also held an educational seminar that revealed the significance of data analysis within warehouse automation. Here is a recap of the various sessions we presented:

[Product Demo] Visualizing Your Warehouse and Simplifying Automation presented by Dave Williams, VP of Technology Solutions, Westfalia Technologies, Inc

While the process of running your warehouse like a well-oiled machine can often feel overwhelming, it doesn’t need to be. Join us as we show how to simplify your operations, bring your warehouse to life, and provide you with an intriguing look at Westfalia’s multi-platform, multi-dimensional, fully interactive FireFly recovery and visualization tool.

[Product Demo] A look Inside the Automated Warehouse of Heaven Hill Distillery presented by John Hinchey, VP of Sales, Westfalia Technologies, Inc. & Neal Newton, Systems Process Analyst, Heaven Hill Brands

After significant industry growth, Heaven Hill Distillery (home to Evan Williams, Deep Eddy, Burnett’s, Elijah Craig, and many more) was prompted to turn to an automated solution to better manage its inventory. Take a journey through the distillery and its fully automated warehouse and discover how Westfalia’s high-density automated storage/retrieval system (AS/RS), which included an automated layer picking system and Savanna.NET® Warehouse Execution System (WES), helped increase storage capacity by 40% and the ability to ship products 400% faster than before.

[Product Demo] Best Practices in Service: Who You Need to Run Your AS/RS presented by Wolfram von Schoen, VP of Aftermarket Operations, Westfalia Technologies, Inc.

Implementing automated equipment, such as an AS/RS, into your warehouse can bring new challenges, occasional downtime, and necessary preventative maintenance that may not have existed in a conventional warehouse setting. During this session, we will walk you through common challenges we see new customers face and best practices in preparing your warehouse for automation. With the right blend of preventative measures and training, your AS/RS will be able to efficiently operate well into the future.

[Seminar] How to Analyze Your Data to Prepare Your Warehouse for Automation presented by Ryan Smith, VP of Automation, Westfalia Technologies, Inc. & Alex Eisenhart, Solutions Architect, Westfalia Technologies, Inc.

Operating a poorly designed warehouse can be disastrous, and the leading cause of poor design is missing or incorrect data. It is important to understand the types of data that you should collect and analyze to design a warehouse to fit your company’s growth plans. With over three decades of combined warehousing, automation, logistics, and data analytics experience, Ryan and Alex use their knowledge and expertise to guide you through the process of requesting, crunching, and interpreting the data needed to design the most efficient automated warehouse for your unique business needs.
