Westfalia Technologies Honored on 2015 FL100+ List

Westfalia Technologies has been named to Food Logistics’ 2015 FL100+ list for the second year in a row. The publication acknowledged Westfalia for helping food and beverage manufacturers and distributors optimize processes, maximize efficiencies and unveil cost savings with warehouse automation technology.

Dan Labell, president, Westfalia Technologies, comments on how automation is influencing the food and beverage industries with these comments, "Due to the shortage of drivers and the declining reliability of the trucking industry, many of today’s food and beverage companies struggle with quickly fulfilling orders and meeting consumer demand,” said Labell. “With automation technology, like automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), F&B warehouses can overcome these challenges by implementing just-in-time (JIT) order fulfillment strategies. As a result, manufacturers and distributors can prepare orders when the truck arrives, thereby, keeping inventory flowing throughout the warehouse.”

The FL100+ consisted of more than 150 software and technology applicants and is designed to serve as a resource guide for the readers of Food Logistics.
