Southern Wine & Spirits of America: Top-shelf distribution

Modern Material Handling recently featured Westfalia’s customer Southern Wine & Spirits of California about their new state-of-the art distribution center.
The article outlines the main features of the new 334,000 square foot facility in Union City, Calif. Now being able to meet industry demands, Southern can store 24,750 pallets up to ten pallets deep and can process more than 80 pallets per hour with its automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS). Bringing the whole system together, Westfalia’s Savanna.NET® warehouse execution system optimizes material flow and picking to ensure inventory accuracy.
The new facility not only gives Southern a strategic advantage with the most technologically advanced facility in the industry, but the company is positioned for future growth.
