Key Features of Mini Load AS/RS Systems:
- Move, store and order picking of tote based small parts warehousing - designed to automate case picking or provide ergonomic methods of “each” picking.
- Operate with various load carrying units – boxes, cartons, totes, or trays.
- High density Mini-Load storage systems create better space utilization which reduces travel distance for order selection personnel, thereby improving productivity

- Utilizes a Storage / Retrieval Machine (S/RM) which is captive to a main aisle
Westfalia offers 4 types of Mini-Load AS/RS:
Mini-Load with Turning Satellite® – ideal for reaching both sides of an AS/RS aisle to store containers in single, double and multiple-deep configurations
Westfalia’s patented Satellite® rack entry vehicle, downsized for Mini-Loads, is available with both a turning and non-turning option. This turning option allows access to both sides of an aisle. The Mini-Load Satellite® handles up to four boxes or cartons at a time, with a maximum load capacity of 176 lbs. (80 kg.) Our flexible designs enable any combination of single, double or multiple-deep (up to 12 deep) Mini-Load systems to be serviced from one aisle.
Mini-Load without Turning Satellite® – useful when only one side of an aisle is used for AS/RS to store containers in single, double and multiple-deep configurations
The Mini-Load without Turning Satellite® is designed to handle loads up to 176 lbs. (80 kg.) It too has our flexible design capabilities, enabling any combination of single, double or multiple-deep (up to 12 deep) storage services from one aisle.
Mini-Load with Pin Extractor – our tray handling system which can handle several small boxes, parts, etc. in one tray in a single-deep configuration
Westfalia’s Mini-Load with Pin Extractor has the advantage of handling trays with a maximum load capacity of 660 lbs (300 kg.) The tray dimensions can vary, as your needs require. This robust Mini-Load AS/RS can handle several boxes, parts, etc in one tray, providing very condensed storage.
Mini-Load with Telescopic Shuttle Table (not pictured) – ideal for storage of lighter loads in single and double-deep configurations
This Mini-Load AS/RS utilizes a Telescopic Shuttle Table and is capable of handling standard load weights of 110-176 lbs. (50-80 kg.)
