Westfalia's Rick Handberg Featured in Materials Handling MRO Magazine
Twenty-year field service veteran, Rick Handberg approaches every day as a new challenge as Westfalia's senior service technician. During his interview for Materials Handling MRO Technician Spotlight, Rick stated, "I have really enjoyed what this job has provided for me. There's a lot of traveling, I don't have to go to an office every day, and I meet lots of different people."
Rick started with Westfalia as the only service technician learning a lot about warehouse automation along the way. Now, Westfalia's service and controls department has grown to over 20 people whom all work together to develop solutions to help our customers grow. During his tenure with Westfalia, Rick has grown from a guy who "did it all" to a guy who listens and works with his numerous colleagues to develop new ways of doing business.
"I now encourage all my coworkers to listen to even the newest guys on board. I have learned that everyone has good ideas at different levels of service whether it be administrative, customer interaction, mechanical, electrical, or making up jigs or tools to help our job. New eyes are never a bad thing." explained Handberg of his experience over the years.
