Sheet Metal Fabricator

Westfalia Technologies is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator. This is an opportunity to join a positive team environment in a manufacturing facility.
Job Duties:
- Skilled and proficient with operation, set up, and use of Press Brake Operations
- Operation and set up of sheet metal fabrication equipment including shear and punch machines, drilling, tapping and milling
- Use of the lathe and milling machines
- Read and follow blueprints and the laying out of parts
- Reading and interpreting drawings and working with Engineering to fabricate special jigs and fixtures
- Operate the forklift and overhead cranes as needed
- Finishing and polishing Stainless Steel welds including use of buffers, belt sanders, flap wheel and glass beading
- Knowledgeable and able to set up and run the MIG/TIG welders
- Able to use the cutting torches and cut off saws
- Assist in other department as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in working on a Press Brake
- Minimum of 5 years work experience with fabrication in a sheet metal manufacturing environment

Good knowledge of tooling changes and bend deductions (required)

Must have own tools

Ability to read and follow blueprint drawings (required)
- Good communication ability in English, both written and verbal is necessary
- Must be US citizen or have required work permit(s)
- Ability to operate other shop equipment such as vertical milling machine, lathe and cutting saws
- Machine assembly including use of general shop hand tools
- Positive attitude in a team working environment
- Fork truck driver’s license
- Ability to operate overhead crane up to 15 tons
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and controls
Work hours are M-F 6:00am-2:30pm with some Saturday work when available. Some overtime work is required. In addition to the job description, candidates will be required to perform other general shop duties from time to time as assigned by the Shop Foreman and/or Production Manager.
Standard safety training in shop procedures is required and will be provided if candidates do not have up-to-date safety training certificates.
