Software Developer

Westfalia Technologies is seeking a Software Developer to join the Software Projects Team. This is an opportunity to maintain existing projects and develop new software solutions based on customer projects. This position reports to the Software Project Development Lead.
Job Duties:
- BS degree in computer science
- Thorough understanding and experience with C#, ADO.net, SQL and/or C++
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development life cycle
- Develop projects using C#, SQL, and ADO.NET to meet customer needs. Implement those projects using SQL Server and Oracle databases
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
- Interact with customers as needed to clarify requirements and develop project specifications. May include some travel to customer sites
- Report status of project accurately to Management
- Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Protect operations by keeping information confidential
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Requirements:
- 5 years software experience or solid internship
- BS degree in computer science
- Thorough understanding and experience with C#, ADO.net, SQL and/or C++
- Analyzing Information, Programming Skills, Software Design, Software Debugging, Software Documentation, Software Testing, Problem Solving, and Teamwork
- German and/or Spanish speaking is a plus
