Senior Software Developer

Westfalia Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the Software Projects Team. This is an opportunity to mentor a small group to maintain existing projects and develop new software solutions based on customer projects. You must be able to follow through the entire life cycle of a software project. This position reports to the Software Project Development Lead.
Job Duties:
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development life cycle.
- Follow the full software life cycle of a project
- Develop projects using C#, SQL, and ADO.NET to meet customer needs. Implement those projects using SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Interact with customers as needed to clarify requirements and develop project specifications. May include some travel to customer sites.
- Manage a project through its entirety; Responsible for completing a project
- Lead a small group of software developers for a single project
- Analyze and break out a specification into workable tasks for completion; assign and follow up on tasks with other Software Developers.
- Report status of project accurately to Management.
- Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Protect operations by keeping information confidential
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years software experience
- BS degree in computer science
- Experience leading a small group as a team leader
- Thorough understanding and experience with C#, ADO.net, SQL and/or C++
- Analyzing Information, Programming Skills, Software Design, Software Debugging, Software Documentation, Software Testing, Problem Solving, and Teamwork
- German and/or Spanish speaking is a plus
